What is Vehicle Accident Repair?
In the event of an accident where a vehicle has been damaged it requires trained technicians to restore the vehicle to its pre-accident condition. From this course you will gain and industry recognised qualification and learn skills from several job roles within the accident repair industry, including Mechanical-Electrical-Trim Technician, Panel Technician, and Paint Refinisher.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is aimed at 16-24 year olds who prefer and respond to 'hands-on' learning. The structure of this course has a practical approach to assessments and includes many visual questioning techniques, which will stimulate and interest learners.
What are the aims of the course?
This qualification allows learners to have the flexibility to develop their knowledge and skills across all specialist areas, such as body & refinishing, to prepare them for further studies and potentially enter into a job role they desire in the future. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to enable you to carry out basic body repairs and refinishing procedures to light vehicles in a realistic working environment of our well-equipped automotive workshop.

What qualifications do I need to do this course?
No formal qualifications are required, however, you will need a positive attitude, commitment and self-motivation. Also you should have an interest in working in the Vehicle Accident Repair Industry.
What will I be able to go on to after I’ve completed the course?
It can support their progress to a Foundation (Level 1) or Higher (Level 2) Diploma and also supplement their progress to GCSEs and other appropriate destinations, such as apprenticeships and employment.
How is the course assessed?
The assessments for this qualification have a practical focus and combine various assessment styles/methodologies in order to suit the subject and levels of units contained within it. Learning outcomes are set at unit level and are achieved by following task based, oral assessments and online assessments.
