Vision and Values

Our VISION is ambitious, shared, and rooted in a strong moral purpose: to deliver a truly inclusive whole child curriculum that places long-term impact at the heart of everything we do.

Aspire. Empower. Achieve.

We aspire on behalf of our students, staff, and community—especially at times when individuals may find it difficult to do so for themselves. We challenge barriers, raise expectations, and believe unwaveringly in the potential of every young person.

We empower through evidence-informed practice, equipping our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need not only for education, but for life beyond the classroom.

We achieve together—academically, socially, and emotionally—ensuring that every student leaves us prepared, resilient, and ready to succeed in their future.

This is more than a vision; it is the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

Our core school community VALUES are:

At Goldwyn School, our REACH values—Resilience, Empathy, Aiming high, Commitment, and Heart—are far more than words on a page; they are the foundation of our culture and the guiding principles behind everything we do. These shared values are lived and modelled daily by both staff and students, shaping how we learn, interact, and grow as a community.

We actively recognise and celebrate students who demonstrate our values through our rewards system, which parents and carers can track via the Arbor app. This ensures that success is visible, shared, and meaningful both in school and at home.

Student voice plays a vital role in shaping our approach. It was through student feedback that we introduced reward experiences and trips for those who consistently demonstrate our values—these take place in Terms 2, 4, and 6. In addition, students can use their rewards through our online values shop, further reinforcing positive choices and engagement.

Through REACH, we are building not only successful learners, but confident, compassionate, and aspirational young people.
