Goldwyn Sixth Form offer

Post-16 (KS5) Offer

In response to the national challenge of students with SEMH needs becoming NEET at Post-16, Goldwyn School has developed a pioneering and ambitious KS5 offer. Our provision is designed to ensure that every student continues their journey with purpose—building independence, gaining meaningful qualifications, and preparing for sustained success in education, employment, or training.

Goldwyn Sixth Form (On-Site Provision)

For students who remain solely on roll at Goldwyn, we offer a bespoke sixth form experience with a strong vocational focus. Courses are reviewed annually to ensure they remain relevant and aspirational, including:

  • Motor Vehicle (IMI Level 1 & 2) delivered in our state-of-the-art Vocational Centre
  • Construction (City & Guilds Level 1 & 2)
  • Health and Social Care

This provision combines practical learning with core academic and personal development, creating clear pathways into employment and further training.

East Kent College Partnership (Flagship Offer)

Our partnership with East Kent Colleges Group (EKC) is a cornerstone of our KS5 provision and has been developed over the past five years. With growing demand and strong outcomes, this model operates across Ashford, Folkestone, and Dover campuses.

We offer two distinct pathways:

Pathway 1: Goldwyn Main Roll with College Access

  • Students remain on roll at Goldwyn
  • Access a wide range of EKC courses
  • Goldwyn delivers English, Maths, employability skills, targeted interventions, and SEMH curriculum
  • A blended approach ensuring both academic and pastoral needs are fully met

Pathway 2: College Main Roll with Goldwyn Support

  • Students are on roll at EKC
  • Goldwyn provides specialist support for EHCP Section F provision and SEMH curriculum
  • Ensures continuity of support while promoting independence within a mainstream college setting

Our Commitment

Our Post-16 offer is built on high aspirations, flexibility, and strong partnerships. We are committed to ensuring that every student:

  • Secures meaningful qualifications
  • Develops independence and employability skills
  • Transitions successfully into further education, employment, or training

This is more than a Post-16 offer—it is a carefully designed pathway that changes futures.
