Goldwyn Student Leaders
Goldwyn Student Leaders are proud Year 11 ambassadors for our school community. They represent Goldwyn at key events including open days, interviews and visits from dignitaries, welcoming visitors and sharing what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.
The Student Leader role is a crucial and highly respected position within Goldwyn. It plays a vital part in ensuring that student voice is central to school life, actively shaping school development and contributing to decisions that affect our community. Our Student Leaders model the values, behaviours and attitudes we want to see across the school, supporting others while developing their own leadership skills.
During the 2025 – 2026 academic year, our Student Leaders have represented Goldwyn School at our Mainstream Nurture Hub launch, met representatives from KCC, represented the school when collecting a brand new minibus and visited each others sites to provide feedback on future developments.
Visitors Praise Goldwyn Student Ambassadors
Our Student Leaders met with David Adams (KCC Deputy Director of Education) and Beverley Fordham (Cabinet member for Education and Skills) to Goldwyn School, where they visited both the Goldwyn Ashford site and the Goldwyn Nurture Hub.
During their visit, our Student Leaders proudly acted as ambassadors for the school, giving a tour of the facilities and sharing insight into what learning and support looks like at Goldwyn. Paul, Madison and Dan spoke confidently about their experiences and the opportunities available to them, demonstrating the pride they have in their school community.
Both visitors were extremely impressed with the maturity, confidence and professionalism shown by the students.
David Adams commented: āYour ambassadors were fantastic and should be very proud of themselves.ā
Beverley Fordham also shared her praise: āI was also very impressed with your ambassadors; they really are a credit to the school.ā
The visit was a wonderful opportunity for our student leaders to showcase the positive work happening across Goldwyn and to demonstrate the important role they play in representing the school.

Goldwyn Student Leaders Attend Special Minibus Presentation
Our Goldwyn Ashford Student Leaders recently attended a special event to celebrate the presentation of a brand new school minibus to Goldwyn School, generously donated by Variety Golf and their associated supporters.
Representing the school were our Ashford Student Leaders, Paul and Dan, who proudly represented the student voice during the presentation. They were joined by Emma Perry-MacLoed (Goldwyn Ashford Specialist Engagement Officer), Josh Dark (PSD Lead) and Rob Garratt (Assistant Principal ā Wellbeing, Behaviour and Attendance).
The new minibus will make a significant difference to students across all Goldwyn sites, providing greater opportunities for curriculum enrichment trips, outdoor learning and wider experiences beyond the classroom.
A special thank you goes to James Whatley, our School Business Manager, whose work and dedication were instrumental in Goldwyn being selected to receive this fantastic donation.
We are incredibly grateful to Variety Golf and their generous donors for supporting Goldwyn School and helping to create more opportunities for our students.
We are incredibly proud of all our Student Leaders, who continue to embody the values and spirit of the Goldwyn community.

The role is built around our core Goldwyn values:
Resilience
Student Leaders help to promote calm, fair and constructive approaches to challenges. They support peers with conflict resolution, encourage perseverance, and help others stay focused when learning or social situations feel difficult.
Empathy
Student Leaders are a supportive and trusted presence within the school. They offer emotional support, act as peer mediators, and provide mentorship to younger students, helping them settle into school life. Through listening, understanding and compassion, they help others feel valued and heard.
Aiming High
As positive role models, Student Leaders demonstrate high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal growth. They support peers to set goals, develop confidence and build essential life skills such as organisation, communication and problem-solving.
Commitment
Student Leaders show dedication to Goldwyn and its community. They represent the school with pride, gather and share student feedback to support improvement, and take part in regular meetings to reflect on progress, challenges and next steps.
Heart
Above all, Goldwyn Student Leaders lead with kindness, integrity and care. They embody the spirit of our school ā looking out for others, celebrating success and helping to create a safe, inclusive and aspirational environment for everyone.
Through this role, students develop confidence, responsibility and leadership skills that prepare them not only for success in school, but for life beyond Goldwyn.
